We Have reached 135+ Families We are delighted to share with you that we have been extremely busy behind the scenes.we are working very hard to provide essentials to our local community. we are focusing on: We Have reached 135+ Families We are collaborating with local businesses such as Baba Salam and west side restaurants for daily cooked meals for the homeless. as well as The farm Halal Butchers to provide essentials and groceries. We are always here for the community and we help our community members to benefit from the local food bank. Supplementary School programme!
Supplementary School programme Supplementary School programme This programme was set up in order to address the educational underachievement of our beneficiaries. When we initially began the foundation, we were very alarmed to realise the levels of educational underachievement our service users were experiencing. Many of the service users expressed that they had no support outside of school and as a result of this they often struggled to complete their homework or have any exam practice at home.Our supplementary school programme runs on Saturday and Sundays for three hours each session, and has been very successful. We have seen our pupils excel in both their education as well as in their confidence. Covid-19 Response In response to the corona virus crisis, we have established a food distributionservice to help support our most vulnerable members of society. We feel this is avital service in supporting families during these uncertain times as many people arefacing financial uncertainty. We are aware that shopping for essentials has becoming a difficult task. Especially for the vulnerable and elderly. Together with our volunteers we are making sure that no one sleeps hungry in these difficult times. IFTAR INITIATIVE
Iftar for H&F Vulnerable Residents Iftar for H&F Vulnerable Residents M&C Foundation is delighted to announce we will be delivering Iftar (Fast breaking meal during Ramadan) meals this Ramadan; in partnership with The Association of Somali Voluntary Ogranizations (AVSO). This Initiative will benefit up to 100 of the most vulnerable members of the community. Many Thanks to Baba Salam restaurant for preparing the meals.
